Sara Chodak is Vassal. She is a 16-year-old Philadelphia-based songwriter who is driven by emotion and the world around her. She is an eclectic mix of grungy punk, traditional folk, and rebellious rock. She ties her music together with just an acoustic guitar and raw lyrics. The stories woven throughout her songs derive from inspiration from the people she sees, the places she’s been, and the all of the unembellished emotions she has felt.

Jac Conner
Jac is an incoming sophomore at Oxford Area High School, and a local musician from Nottingham, Pennsylvania. He is very excited to participate in the “New Summer Sounds”. Jac is a guitarist and vocalist who loves learning new instruments. Playing anything from pop to hard rock, his musical style is very versatile. He has performed at multiple venues locally, including the Rise n’ Grind Cafe, Wholly Grounds Coffee Shop, the Octoraro Ote and the Warriors on the Water fundraiser with the Moe Blues Band, the open mic at the Kennett Flash, opening for Jean Therapy at the Darlington Arts Center, and the Connective Festival in Oxford. Last year, Jac was Troy Bolton in his school show, “High School Musical”. Earlier this year he was Joseph Pullitzer in “Newsies” at Street Lamp Productions, as well as a Wickersham Brother in “Seussical” at Oxford Area High School. He is currently a part of band, jazz band, chorus, and choral ensemble at school.

Madeleine Anderson
Madeleine Anderson is a 16-year-old singer songwriter with a little folk and a lot of heart. Her original songs speak to us all through unforgettable melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. As a cover artist, Madeleine is loved by young and old as her repertoire spans generations of music we all know and love.

Rachel Folmar
Rachel Folmar is an incoming Senior at Unionville High School, and she’s been writing and performing music for as long as she can remember. Rachel has performed at local open mic nights and other shows at the Flash, the Kennett Brewery, and the Market at Liberty Place, and she hopes to be releasing more music online in the coming months. Rachel has also performed with choirs in Disney World and with composer Z. Randall Stroope in Rome, Italy. When she’s not singing or songwriting, Rachel is writing for the school paper, building robots with her robotics team, or participating in Student Council.
